Mary Sue Green earned her Ph.D. in human development and family studies from Iowa State University. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Supervisor. She works full-time as a substance abuse counselor for Helen Farabee Centers. She has received grant funding and published articles in peer-reviewed journals on diversity issues, mentoring, therapist self-awareness, sexuality, and infidelity. She has presented at state and national conferences on ethics, substance abuse, sexual orientation and gender identity, supervision, and working with same-sex couples.
