Evaluating Common Impairments of the Hip and Knee

This course provides physical therapy professionals with a review of common hip and knee impairments and contributing factors for each, including biomechanics, overuse, and lifestyle. Case studies outline a step-by-step evaluation, modeling clinical decision-making for a common hip condition in a recreational athlete and a common knee condition in a middle-aged, sedentary individual. Current evidence-based research regarding the impact of biomechanics on symptomatology and appropriate selection and interpretation of special tests are presented.
