The Neonatal Resuscitation Program® is an educational program that introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation. Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this continuing medical education activity, participants should be able to:

Recognize the principles of neonatal resuscitation.
Identify the need for resuscitation and how to provide initial steps of resuscitation.
State the knowledge and skills essential to provide chest compressions during neonatal resuscitation.
Name the indications for and skills needed to provide effective endotracheal intubation during neonatal resuscitation.
Define the scope and practice of use of medications during neonatal resuscitation.
Review special situations in neonatal resuscitation.
Differentiate the indications and skills required in neonatal resuscitation for a preterm delivery.
Distinguish the issues and indications for starting and stopping neonatal resuscitation at the end of life.
Define the practices for preparing for resuscitation.
Define the practices of neonatal post-resuscitation care.
Demonstrate knowledge of principles of neonatal resuscitation via completion of NRP eSim cases.
