Subject Matter Expert: Juan Armando Rojas Joo, Ph.D.

Dr. Rojas Joo has more than thirteen years’ experience of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism training programing, hiring, retention, and promotion of employees from diverse backgrounds, conflict resolution, and mentoring. He has worked as Chief Diversity Officer and Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion in higher-ed and, most recently as a DEI expert consultant on healthcare and corporate. Rojas Joo holds a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in Hispanic Cultural Studies and a M.A. and B.A from the University of Texas in El Paso. Rojas Joo has certificates in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, intergroup dialogue, higher ed administration, and he is a published author and speaks, writes, and reads English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Annette Brownlee, BSN, RN is an SME Writer for the Post-Acute Care team. She has a Bachelor of Arts in advertising from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Northern Colorado.
